Mr. Kai Kong Liu

Chairman

Mr. Kai Kong Liu is an indigenous resident of a walled village born and raised in Sheung Shui, New Territories. He is currently the founder and chairman of the Endeavour Environmental Education Development Foundation. He is also the managing director of one of the Hong Kong companies that mainly undertake the transportation of fresh commodities from China to Hong Kong and oil and foodstuffs. He once presided over the founding of many domestic and foreign environmental protection enterprises and concurrently served as the chairman. In 2006, he was appointed as a member of the 9th and 10th CPPCC in Foshan, Guangdong Province, with an outstanding reputation.

Because of the business relationship as early as 30 years ago, he often shuttled between China and Hong Kong. He personally experienced that the homeland is also facing severe environmental pollution problems while developing its economy. Therefore, since 2000, he has actively established a number of different types of environmental protection companies in China and Hong Kong, and volunteered to promote environmental protection and educate the next generation. Since 2006, it has opened the first local composting plant in Guangxi to process bagasse filter sludge and regenerate organic fertilizer.

Since 2012, he has established the first company in Hong Kong that gathers R&D, environmental consultants and food waste recycling. At the same time, it has also cooperated with many local educational institutions to establish the "E5-Campus" non-profit environmental education platform, with the goal of promoting local environmental education.

Since 2018, the non-profit charitable organization "Endeavour Environmental Education Development Foundation" has been established, combined with the environmental protection concept of "E5-Campus", and has made unremitting efforts to continue to promote traditional surrounding villages and historic sites inspection tours, as well as cultural life education and other matters.

Mr Tai Wan Liu

As an indigenous resident of the New Territories, Mr. Liu has served as the representative of Sheung Shui Heung residents for two sessions. He is enthusiastic about inheriting and developing rural cultural traditions. He is also the editor-in-chief of the original version of the Liu Family Tree in Sheung Shui Heung . In addition, he is also dedicated to inheriting the culinary culture of the surrounding village-the craftsmanship of Poon choi, and insists on maintaining the original taste of traditional food. In recent years, we are committed to promoting sustainable development, practicing organic farming, and maintaining the regenerative capacity of natural systems.

Mr. Kin Sun Liu

Director - Intangible Cultural Heritage

Mr. Kin Sun Liu is an indigenous resident of Sheung Shui Heung in the New Territories. He worked in banks and venture capital companies in his early years and was an executive director of a listed company in Hong Kong. In the past ten years, he has been engaged in the production and export of sportswear in Mainland China.

Mr. Liu joined the Endeavour Environmental Education Development Foundation is to hope that through this platform, he works together with a group of people who have a common philosophy and experience in environmental protection to make some contributions to the environmental education and protection of his hometown.

Mr. Wing Lai Chan

Sustainability Principal Strategist

Mr. Wing Lai Chan is an environmental pioneer and has been committed to the environmental protection and recycling industry for many years. Director Chan is called an environmental realism by the media. In addition to installing a variety of renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind energy, his home is also full of repaired or modified electronic equipment to support environmental protection.

Mr. Hiu Tung Tse

Head of Sustainability & Creating Shared Value (CSV)

Mr. Hiu Tung Tse holds a master's degree in environmental management from Imperial College London and is the founder of Mindfield and UrbaNature. The former is a green enterprise dedicated to leading local communities to manage land and food in a sustainable and organic manner, while respecting nature, abiding by social justice and protecting natural resources; the latter managing multiple local organic farms and promoting the culture of low-carbon diets, supply nutritious food directly from the farm to the restaurant. Beginning in 2018, Mr. Tse served as an agricultural consultant for the "Environmental Innovation Society (Hong Kong Registered Charity)" and was also the project manager of the Jockey Club "Field So Good" Urban Organic Composting Project of the School of Life Sciences of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. In 2019, he was selected as "100 Creative Powers" by VictoriaDockside of New World Development.

Mr. Wa Shing Chan

Mr. Wa-Shing Chan, a barrister in Hong Kong, China. He graduated from the University of Portsmouth (formerly known as Portsmouth Polytechnic) in 1983 with a bachelor's degree in pharmacology. Mr. Chan obtained a postgraduate diploma in business from the London School of Economics in 1985 and a master's degree in public administration from the University of Hong Kong, China in 1998. joined the Hong Kong Police Force in 1986 and was Chief Superintendent of Police when he resigned in 2016. During his tenure in the Hong Kong Police Force, China, he was qualified as a barrister in Hong Kong, China in 1996. Ka Wai Cheng

Professor Ka-Wai Cheng graduated from the University of Bath in 1987 and started research in Power Electronics and obtained his PhD in 1990 from the same university.He was then employed by the University of Bath as a research officer and in 1991 he joined the University of Birmingham as a research fellow. He joined Lucas Electronics as a Senior Engineer in 1995, and in 1996 he joined Lucas Advanced Vehicle Systems Development and in 1997 he joined Lucas Aerospace as a Principal Engineer. During his three years in Lucas, he was the project leader of a number of projects with multinational companies and leader of the power electronics group. He is now the Director of Power Electronics Research Center and the professor of the Department of Electrical Engineering.

Mr. Kwok Lam So

Mr. Kwok-Lam So has over 30 years of experience in the building construction industry of Hong Kong. He is the project director of Hongzong Construction Co., Ltd., and the directors of Hongzong Construction Co., Ltd., Hongzong Interior Design Co., Ltd. and Hongzong Real Estate Co., Ltd. From 2009 to 2012, Mr. So was a member of the Board of Contractors Registration Committee and a member of the Contractors Registration Committee of the Buildings Department. Mr. Su is a member of the Disciplinary Committee Panel of Registered Contractors under the Buildings Ordinance of the Planning and Lands Branch of the Development Bureau. The appointment period is from June 1, 2014 to May 31, 2017. Professor Kin-Chung Ho is an internationally renowned expert in red tide and water quality research. He specializes in environmental science, water resources and water quality, marine ecology, ecological theology and other academic fields, and has been engaged in environmental protection for more than 40 years. Historically, he is also a polar explorer, specializing in marine microalgae, lichen and glacier pollution in the polar regions. In 2018, he founded the "Hong Kong Polar Research Center". He is currently a researcher at the Institute of Environment, Energy and Sustainable Development at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and a visiting associate professor in the School of Life Sciences. Professor Chu is enthusiastic about environmental management and applied ecological work, focusing on industrial ecology, urban greening and environmental pollution research, and has published many books on ecological restoration and environmental pollution. Professor Zhu has actively participated in the work of various government and non-government advisory groups. Shao Yuan Leu

Professor Shao-Yuan Leu is an assistant professor at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. In 2009, he obtained his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of California, Los Angeles. In 2013, he completed his postdoctoral research in the Forest Products Laboratory of the US Department of Agriculture in Madison, Wisconsin, USA, and joined the Hong Kong Polytechnic University after returning to China. In 2018, the first bio-energy research laboratory was established at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Currently, it is mainly engaged in the research of wood chemistry, water chemistry and biomass conversion fuels.

Mr.Kin-Leung Liu is an indigenous resident of Sheung Shui, New Territories. He has more than 30 years of cooking experience. He understands the operation of the kitchen, has refined his culinary skills, and has his own Chinese restaurant. In addition to the catering industry, it developed in China from 1996 to 2006 and was responsible for the management of wireless automatic alarm systems. After retiring, Mr. Liu is not only passionate about golf, but now he is devoted to studying the traditional food culture of the village, leading a group of like-minded villagers to learn how to cook in order to preserve the traditional craftsmanship of this village.
